Pre K Combo
For Ages 2 ˝ -4 it is an
introduction to dance. Introducing young children to dance in a
playful and fun setting. Students learn tap, ballet and tumbling
during this class. They are taught rhythm and coordination with song
and dance routines. It is a soft beginning to teaching them the basic
skills and terminology needed for ballet and tap technique. The
primary goal is to foster a love of movement. Several fun or special
activities will happen in each class. The vocabulary covered in Pre K
combo are all steps which a 3-4 year old can master and they build
self-confidence. The vocabulary is also set up to prepare students
for 5-6 year old combo class.

3-4 Year Old Combo

5-6 Year Old Combo
For ages 5-6 years old. This
fun filled class covers a basis of movement found in Tap, Ballet,
Acrobatics/Tumbling and Hip Hop dance forms. Children are taught
rhythm and coordination with song and dance routines. More terminology
and basic skills are taught to prepare the student for one hour
technique classes. The goals of 5-6 year old combo are to foster
creativity, freedom and expression in movement, and a love for dance.
The class includes concepts that are found in an older child’s dance
class. The concepts will prepare the students for the following year
when they graduate to 6 & up Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop or Tap. By the end
of the year the students can memorize simple exercises and sequences.

Jazz versus Hip Hop
Jazz style of dance is what is
seen in many Broadway type shows such as “Cats or Chorus Line”. It is
a more structured, stage style of dance. Dancer with learn the
technicality of a leap and turn. Hip Hop is a fast, high energy type
of dance seen in music videos and commercials. Dance moves seen by
artist such as Janet Jackson, Hilary Duff and N’Sync would be typical
examples of Hip Hop.

Hip Hop
Hip Hop combine the latest
video, street and funk styles to create the hottest and most fun class
available. All classes begin with a warm up and stretch. Isolation
and pop and lock combinations are done to help with the development
of coordination and rhythm. The ends for a combination that is
innovative and cutting edge.

Break Dance
Traditional free style moves
combined with acrobatic floor work and hip-hop dance. Break dance
includes elements of pop and lock, hip hop and floor work.

Kickline
Kickline encompasses a number
of dance styles including pom, prop, lyrical, jazz, high-kicks and
hip-hop. The dancers use pom poms and other props, and wear brightly
colored uniforms for a high energy effect. It may look fresh and
funky, but these styles actually have their roots in ballet and other
more traditional forms of dance.

Jazz
Jazz is a stylistic,
energetic form of dance. Its roots come from ballet and modern dance
technique. Dancers develop flexibility and muscle strength.
Jazz incorporates ballet
technique and helps to develop a strong jazz foundation. Jazz classes
include a technical warm up and stretch, jumps and turns across the
floor and a combination that is a musical theatre style or a
contemporary style.

Jazz/Hip Hop
This program allows students to
take the 2 most popular forms of dance in one class. The jazz/hip hop
class teaches fundamental jazz steps and combines the elements of hip
hop moves and contemporary music. We have found that the combination
of jazz and hip hop is ideal younger ages. Students learn the
necessary elements of jazz which are crucial to the success in hip
hop, but also get to learn hip hop moves which require the
coordination and balance learned from jazz.

Ballet
Our professional ballet program
is a Russian style of ballet. Our faculty concentrates on the Royal
academy technique. Ballet class begins with barre work. Dancer go onto
Center floor work, adagio, allegro, progressions and character dancer
(depending on the level). Dancer develop grace and poise. Terminology
and proper technical execution are the primary goals for proper
training ballet. Ballet is the foundation to all forms of dance and is
recommended for all serious dancers.

Lyrical
It is an emotional and
contemporary form of dance which combines the grace and beauty of
ballet with the strength and flexibility of jazz. Dancers will focus
on technique while learning to dance using different emotions and
expressions. The class consists of a center warm up which includes
stretching and extension work. Jumps and turns and progressions are
done across the floors. The class ends with a combination the
emphasizes on the progression, jumps and turns that were done across
the floors.

Tap
Our schools do not start
children in tap until the age of 6. Shoes will a thick medal on the
bottom are use to make unique sounds. Tap requires a great deal of
coordination and can be a challenging style of dance. Students learn
tap terminology and apply rhythm and timing into a tap routine. All
levels will emphasize clarity of rhythm and sound and the development
of style through the use of the whole body.

Musical Theatre
Our musical theatre program
teaches stage dance and includes a voice component. Basic jazz
technique combined with stage direction, acting and singing. The
musical theatre classes are open to students aged 6 through to adult.
The class combination are Broadway musicals with jazz dance and
singing.

MOMMY & ME
(Dad's Too) (Ages 18 months - 2
years)
Our programs blend the physical skills
of creative movement, gymnastics, fitness and dance with educational
concepts. The blending of these disciplines ensures that each child
has an optimal learning experience. All mommy & me programs stress
development of physical and language skills, imagination and
socialization while building self-confidence and positive self-
esteem. Children learn creative movement, dance and gymnastic skills
while also learning colors, numbers, shapes, words, and songs.
Most
importantly, our programs encourage children to love learning by
associating it with something that comes naturally- movement, music,
gymnastics and dance. Teachers Who Love To Teach All mommy and
