FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q.  How do we differ from other dance schools?
A.   As for other dance schools, we can’t comment on the teacher or procedures, but we have several distinct differences from most other dance schools. Our floor is one of our major differences - our professional floating dance floors offer additional cushioning and support to help prevent injuries and fatigue. We also have full time office staff, which means the person teaching the class is not distracted with administrative details, and there is always someone available to assist you with your customer service needs. We also keep our class sizes small with our 3-5 year classes limited to 8 in a group and the rest limited to 12. All of our instructors are certified and hold dance degrees for quality training. Q.  Can we watch a dance class?
A.  We only allow parents to watch class through our surveillance camera or you may come into class during parent observation week.

Q.  Can we sit in on our child’s dance class?
A.  We allow parents to sit in only on the first class and then we have observation days during the year which parent are invited into class. Parent being in the classroom can distract the students. We encourage parents to watch the class through the surveillance camera in our waiting areas on normal class days.

Q.  My child has been dancing for 5+ years and is interested in competitive or professional type dance lessons, what do you offer?
A.  We have extremely qualified teachers who are certified in all styles of dance. All of our competitive team members must audition. If you would like audition information  please contact by phone.

A.  We offer Mommy and Me, Combo classes for ages 2 1/2-4year w/ potty training and ages 5-6. Students learn the basics of tap, ballet, and acrobatics/tumbling, sing nursery rhymes and creative movement. Each class is 1 hour per week.

Q.  My child took Combo Class at another studio last year, can they take the next level of combo class?
A.  We like to try the child in the first level for a trial, if the instructor feels that the next level is better for your child we will gladly move her to the next level up.

Q.  What is hip-hop?
A.
It is a street influenced style of dance. It is what you see when you watch music videos on TV like Janet Jackson, N’sync & the BackStreet Boys

Q.  What is Jazz?
A.
Jazz is a little more classical than hip-hop it uses more upper body movement and more graceful moves than hip-hop. Similar to the movement you see in Broadway Musicals.

Q.  Why isn’t the class working on the end of the year dance?
A.
During the first half of the year, the teachers will teach the students a variety of combinations. As time goes on they will see with each class which combination works best. They will determine this from how students individually get the steps, and how as a group the combinations pull together. We don’t want the teachers to be restricted to working on just one dance all year long. Besides being boring for both the teacher and the students, this is very limiting.

Q.  Can I sew or make my child’s costume instead of paying for it?
A.
Our costumes are ordered from costume companies that ensure us that the costume will be made exactly the same. These companies don’t sell the patterns to their costume so it would be impossible to duplicate the costume for your child.

Q.  What if I register and my son or daughter doesn’t like it?
A.
We need thirty days notice in writing that you are going to withdrawal from all or one of your classes.
